Citroen C4 Picasso coolant leak name of part. by cargeeka999 » Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:52 am. As per the title I have a coolant leak on a Citroen C4 Picasso, with a friend I have tracked the leak down to a pipe on the right hand side of the engine that comes out of the back of the water pump thats connected to the out pipe from the radiator.

Another succesful task complete thanks to the knowledge of C4 owners forum. Further to what Routemaster says above Citroen recommend a 'power flush' when changing oil and in the old days we used to use a 'flushing oil' . Fill the engine to low level, run for 10 minutes and then drain again.
Hi i bought cp4 picasso auto 2007 , and got few concers, gearbox shift slowly and when shift move me forward and backward. I saw now this post and i will check the oil in that tank. I make my registration today btw, can somebody explain me or give a link how to change and refil the oil in the gearbox.

Yes, common problem on the 1.4 petrol I'm afraid. Everything you describe points towards head gasket. 107,000 miles is a good mileage to have covered - they tended to fail at random and without reason - we've done one as low as 16,000 on that engine previously. Hi, get the cooling system pressure tested.

Now I've had injectors checked and replaced 1, I've had glow plugs all replaced ( pig of a job) I've changed air, fuel, oil filter and used top quality oil twice. Now I know the 1.6HDi should have a little oil in the breather pipes but I've noticed mine is far more than a little. The air filter becomes soothed up fairly quickly and if you
Hi gmerry, I can't answer your question, but personally I would drain the engine side by sucking out the coolant via a tube fed deep down from the reservoir. I have a C4 Mk1 hatchback 1.6HDI 16v(92bhp) and did it this way first with an inexpensive (less than £5) hand held manual pump from ebay (after draining the radiator side the usual way by removing the lower radiator hose).
