Hi, Purchased car with 80k on it. Great shape, news tires, new brakes, 2 previous owners. Seems like a great deal. 3.0 V6 and AWD. Just wondering if there is anything I should look for in terms of problems or defects. However, the launch of a lower-cost front-wheel-drive X-Type in May 2002 spoiled the party. All-wheel drive X-Types come with a V6 petrol engine of 2.5 or 3.0 litres. The front-drive models have a 2.1-litre V6 (confusingly badged as a 2.0-litre to dodge some sort of road tax in the UK.)

The car is cutting out sometimes on a long route, sometimes on the short one, also on different speed. Even the RPM is not stable when I start the engine.

Firstly, undo the hazard switch connectors (and heated seats if you have those too) Secondly remove the heater unit connectors by pressing in the tab and sliding the locking arm open.
